He currently serves as Director, Mine Planning, Africa – Newmont Corporation<\/strong>, providing strategic leadership in the planning and development of mining operations across the continent. In this role, he brings together technical expertise, business strategy, and operational considerations to support the delivery of safe, efficient, and sustainable mining operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Throughout his career, Mr. Empeh has held various technical and leadership positions with major mining companies, including Newmont Corporation<\/strong>, where he served in a senior mine planning capacity, contributing to long-term planning and operational strategy across its African operations. He has also served with MMG Limited<\/strong>, where his responsibilities have included mine technical services and strategic mine planning in the Democratic Republic of Congo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n His professional journey has also included experience at Gold Fields<\/strong>, where he gained valuable exposure to mining operations and technical functions in Ghana. These experiences across major international mining companies have provided him with a broad understanding of mine development, production planning, resource optimisation, and the integration of technical planning with operational and commercial objectives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Mr. Empeh holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mining Engineering and a Master of Science degree in Minerals and Energy Economics.
