The Membership Committee (MC) of the Council is responsible for approving members into the institute. Membership admission usually takes between 4 to 8 weeks and is supervised by a membership committee made up of both industry and academia that goes through the stringent processes of ensuring the right criteria and full qualifications for admissions are met.
The MC reports to the Council and is chaired by a member of the governing council. It is composed of 15 members from the industry, academia and research consisting of both council and non-council members. At least 5 of the MC members must come from the governing council membership.
