The WAIMM congratulates Kwesi Enyan on your DSc (Honoris Causa) award from UMaT

The WAIMM is very happy to share in the success and celebrates the recent achievement and award received by Kwesi Enyan, who is a WAIMM Fellow and member of the Executive Committee from the University of Mines and Technology, UMaT-Ghana.

Kwesi Enyan was conferred with a Doctor of Science (DSc) honoris causa during the 14th UMaT Congregation Ceremony held on 25th March, 2023.

Kwesi Enyan is a mining engineer and a seasoned professional in the industry with over 30 years remarkable experience across both regular bodies and Mining concerns.

Kwesi is currently the Executive Director – General Operations at Rocksure International and has held many senior positions in the Mining industry where he has particularly achieved turnaround situations in challenging operations. Until recently, he was the Managing Director for AngloGold Ashanti’s Legendary Obuasi Mines and now serves on the Board of UMA, the JV vehicle between AUMS and Rocksure which currently operates the Obuasi Underground mines. He is undoubtedly an asset to the team. Kwesi qualified as a mining engineer from the world-renowned Camborne School of Mines in the UK and an AMP program from the Havard Business School, Boston, Mass USA.

In the year 2020, the Chamber of Mines honored him with a Lifetime Achievement Award.
