Grade: Student Member

This grade of WAIMM membership applies to undergraduates or diploma students in Mining engineering, Earthscience / Geosciences, Mineral processing / Metallurgy, other engineering programs directly tied to the natural resources industry

I admire WAIMM’s vision of promoting exceptional professional development, world class-networking and facilitating knowledge transfer among professionals across the mining sector in the West African sub-region. The vision provides excellent direction and value driven principles for the transformation of industry performance. To be eligible as a Member

  • You must be formally enrolled in a Bachelor's degree or Diploma program in disciplines including mining engineering, metallurgy & material engineering, geomatic engineering, geosciences/earth science and related engineering programs in a recognised tertiary or research institution
  • Provide proof of enrolment and expected date of completion of studies.
  • Student membership is valid for up to one year after completion of your undergraduate studies

Application to the WAIMM Student membership must be endorsed by the Head of Depatment of the program enrolled at the university.
