WAIMM Inaugurates KsTU Students Chapter

The West African Institute of Mining, Metallurgy & Petroleum, WAIMM, successfully inaugurated the WAIMM Kumasi Technical University Student Chapter on Thursday, June 4th, 2026, at the main auditorium of the KsTU campus in Kumasi. This momentous occasion not only expands the WAIMM student chapter network to twelve (12), but also represents a significant milestone for our organization, offering students invaluable opportunities for impactful learning and professional growth.

During the ceremony, Lawrence Omari-Mensah – CEO & Executive Secretary, our distinguished guest of honor, addressed the enthusiastic students and esteemed faculty members. He conveyed how the West African Institute of Mining, Metallurgy & Petroleum (WAIMM) has diligently cultivated a robust platform and supportive environment where industry professionals are not only deeply valued and treated with respect as contribution to the national development but also empowered to achieve remarkable heights in innovation, collaboration, and excellence within the mining, oil, and gas community.
