Among the WAIMM member categories is the WYPG which is for anyone who has completed a course in Engineering, Earthscience, Mining, Metallurgy and related courses in any tertiary institute or university. These early career professionals group is for those who have completed their programs and have been in the industry between 3-5 years experience as they wait to join the full membership. The objective of the WYPG among other things include:

Leadership and other training programs are organised by the WYPG throughout the year towards professional development and sustainability of the mining industry.
